Capacity Building
Communications and marketing agencies or consultants, such as myself, are sometimes engaged to share our expertise with our clients’ leadership and staff. When organizations start-up, go through transitions, or— as in the case of most non-profits —are engaged in ongoing fundraising, developing in-house communications or public relations expertise becomes imperative. Capacity-building consultants can provide the training and knowledge needed to boost or augment internal resources. When capacity building is effective, the work strengthens an organization’s ability to grow and fulfill its mission.
